Anyone for pork?

The current Swine Flu issue is certainly getting a lot of media attention. When you look at the whole thing sensibly though, is it really that scary?
There have only been I think 7 or 8 deaths confirmed to have been caused by Swine Flu. More people than that die every winter from flu in little Adelaide in South Australia. More die from car accidents in Adelaide in a year, and so on and so on.
When the death toll rises to hundreds, no thousands, of people in a place near you, that's when you should get scared that you might catch it.
The people who are right to be scared right now are the pig farmers, and the companies who process and sell pork products. There are some crazy people scare mongering and putting people of eating pork because they fear getting swine flu. I really feel sorry for the pig people whose jobs may be in danger from this whole thing
This is totally ridiculous and unfair.
You Can Not Get Swine Fever From Eating Pork!
The idea is crazy and dangerous. Pork is a tasty meat, and cooked properly will certainly not make you sick. If you eat pork crackling every day, you might end up with health issues related to being overweight, but otherwise, GET SOME PORK ON YOUR FORK!
I've still got some pork in my freezer which we'll eat soon, and I served marinated pork spare ribs for tea Wednesday night. Yummalicious!

I feel like I am saving the pig industry in our district.
And of course, some of the pork we get in our Aussie supermarkets is not Aussie pork. I'm fairly sure that a lot of the Christmas hams in Coles and so on comes from Canada - it pays to read the labels!
