What's for tea?

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've had that phrase aimed at me.
What's for tea in our household? Well, if it's Monday, I don't have to think about it, my husband brings it home from David Jones.
If it's Thursday and I've been to the Central Market in Adelaide, we'll have 'Bits and Pieces' for tea - sliced carrot, snow peas, cheese, bagels, probably ham or chicken gallantine, cheese sticks, maybe sliced apple.
Once a fortnight we have takeaway for tea. The other nights it could be spaghetti bolognaise,
chevapchichis, something with mushrooms, chicken - crumbed is the favourite (I bake it, not fry it). Sometimes we have pork, but I prefer lamb. I've got some lamb chops in the fridge right now, and some yummy thai chicken sausages from Vegas at the Central Market.
Friday night during the school term my son has Air Force cadets, so he gets his tea there and I quite often get a bowl of wedges to share with a friend at a hotel not too far from where Jake goes to cadets.
It's difficult coming up with new things for tea, because Jake is a picky eater - he's getting better as he gets older. I don't eat fish or seafood, so that's limiting. Husband quite often makes himself something fishy on cadets night.
Husband is a star at marinating things, so he'll sometimes do some kind of meat thing on the weekend.
I like to cook, it's a creative outlet for me, but sometimes my creativity isn't appreciated - if you've seen the picture of the muffins from hell, you get the picture. I've also confused bi-carb with baking powder, when I made some muffins or cake or something once, which the dogs didn't mind, but they were inedible to husband , son and me!
