We all have to get older. It is a simple fact of life. We are born, we live and we die. The way we live, the lives we lead all impact on how well we live. If we take care of ourselves, it can help us live a longer life, a better life. But there are no guarantees.
And even if you follow all of the rules, you can still fall victim to some of the common ailments that can plague us. Some people seem to cruise through life with barely a sniffle, others fall victim to everything going around. Whichever way it is for you, it is good to do your bit to help your body do the right thing for you.
And we all have different things that affect us as we approach middle age and beyond. Women have to guard against breast cancer, cervical cancer, as well as working to keep looking as good as they want to look.
Men have their own issues in older years. They don’t suffer quite the same issues as women relating to their looks, but they certainly have health issues. Prostate Cancer is a big one, as well as other forms of cancer that can happen to any of us.
The good news is that you can help yourself by eating particular foods. Soy, tofu and soy milk are all good, and so are yummier things like fruit, shellfish, oily fish, nuts and seeds. Eating a diet rich in these foods can help prevent or at least lessen problems with enlarged prostate and can also reduce the need for medications like Viagra and Cialis.
These foods can also help with sexual health in middle aged and older men. Just because you’re getting older, doesn’t mean you have to give up the finer things in life.
