Savoury Muffins this time
June 8th 2009 01:38
We have only one left in the freezer. They were savoury, they were tasty, they made lunch or snacktime delish!
What was in them, I hear you ask. Well, that's the problem with being a creative (lazy) person. I remember they had the usual, flour, egg, salt, olive oil. There was cheese (cheddar and bourssin). Probably there was pepper, salt (may have been stock powder). I put in chopped tomatoes and mushrooms.
Apart from that, who knows. I made them over a week ago, and sent my son off on a school trip to Canberra with a muffin in his lunch box as well as a sandwich, small packet of chips and an apple. My husband got up very early this morning to make sure Jake was at his school (Balaklava High School) in time to get on the bus for the trip. He was excited, I was curled up in bed, woke up long enough to wish him a happy trip and went back to sleep.
I won't see my son until Saturday now, the computer is mine and I will, will, will do some writing on one/other/both of my books-in progress. I promise. Feel free to give me an email jolt - jeebers@bigpond.com - in the next week to ask what my word count/s is/are.
I am going to make some more muffins today (sweet - with banana and whatever else I come up with, dates probably) to keep me going through the week. Defrost muffin, get more coffee and type, type, type. I can do it!
Talk to you later.

The sweet muffins didn't have banana in them as it turned out, they have poached pear instead.

The working title is Damaged Children, Precious Gems, the theme is mostly but not entirely the damage done to children by sexual abuse.
I have a personal need to get this collection together - call it therapy, I don't care. It has worked for me.
