The Secret!

The secret to great photos with dogs is - drumroll please......Liver treats!
The photo of me and my two young Pharaoh Hounds - Holkschter La De Da, and Boogie, is made interesting with liver treats - La De, who is reading the book with me is actually trying to eat the dried liver I've got in my fingers.
I'm not sure why Boogie is whispering in my ear, there was certainly no liver there - I guss he just likes me!
Pharaoh Hounds are fun and funny dogs, that's for sure. La De is the crazy digger, who has single-handedly turned our back lawn into a bomb site. It is not ever going to be anything other than a 'before ' picture for a garedinging project. Too many dogs, I fear.
The book we're all looking at is a funny little look at gardening from a dogs point of view. It was my first foray into self-publishing, written by me, with illustraltions from my talented friend Ally. It was all fun, and it has gone into a third print run, which I think is pretty cool.
Over the years I've known lots of dogs who like to garden. Pruning is usually the most popular thing, but La De has taken digging up several notches. The Schnauzers sure don't dig like La De digs.
